In a surprising turn of events, late actor Rishi Kapoor’s brother Rajiv Kapoor passed away on Tuesday, February 9 after he suffered a massive cardiac arrest, following which Randhir Kapoor rushed him to Inlaks Hospital. His tragic demise news was confirmed by Rishi Kapoor’s wife and actor Neetu Kapoor who shared a picture of the Ram Teri Ganga Maili actor and wrote ‘RIP’. Soon after, actors Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Armaan Jain, Zack Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and many more were spotted outside his residence.
Now, Bebo who is completely heartbroken to hear about her uncle’s death remembers her uncle as she took to her Instagram account to share a throwback monochrome picture of her grandfather and legendary actor Raj Kapoor along with his sons - Randhir Kapoor (Bebo’s father) late Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor. Sharing the precious picture on her feed, she wrote, “Broken but strong”. After the news broke out, many celebs from the entertainment industry like Akshay Kumar, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Deol, Anupam Kher and many more offered condolence to the family.
Earlier, speaking with ETimes, Randhir Kapoor confirmed the sad news. He said, “I have lost my youngest brother, Rajiv. He is no more. The doctors tried their best but could not save him.” As per the report, Randhir Kapoor rushed him to Inlaks Hospital, a medical facility close to their residence in Chembur. Rajiv Kapoor suffered a massive cardiac arrest. He was declared dead on arrival by the doctors. Kareena’s dad added, "I am at the hospital, waiting for his body."
